Daughters Tamela and Jessica Grissett and Jerri Lynn Whittamore. Brothers Jerry Lee and Dennis Heikkinen, and Bradley Kies. Sisters Julie Plunkett, Norma Fox and Bobbie Hamilton. 9 Grandchildren.Visitation will be Thursday November 11th, 2010 from 1-3pm. Services will begin at 3. Burial will be private at Kentucky Willamstown Veterans Cemetery.

Sue A. Dance 72 of Southgate. Passed away November 11th, 2010 at St. Elizabeth South Hospice. She was a retired Employee of The Enquire. She was also a member of the Immanuel Church of the Nazerene in Highland Heights. She is survived be her husband Tom Dance of Southgate. Daughters Tamie Key of Silver Grove and Holly (&Michael) Bryson of Westchester, Oh. 2 sons Thomas Edward Dance and Paul Ernest Dance Preceeded her in death on May 26th, 1971. Brother Jack Tolsom of Colerain Township, and sister Alice Early of Columbus. 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday November 10th, 2010 from 5-8 pm. Services will be held Thursday November 11th, 2010 at 10am at The Immanuel Church of the Nazarene 33 Renshaw Ave, Highland Heights. Richard Paul Rizzo 51, of Alexandria. Passed away Saturday November 6th, 2010 at his residence. He was the Co-Owner of National Prosthetics and Orthotics. He liked to play golf and had a passion for Music. He is survived by his Wife Lori Rizzo. A son Luke Rizzo and a Daughter Mandy R. Rizzo. Brothers Dave, Mike and John Rizzo. Sisters Cathy Tkachuk and Cecelia Dye. 1 Grand Daughter Jade Arrowood. Visitation will be Tuesday November 9th, 2010, from 5-7pm. Services will begin at 7pm. Burial will be private for the family.

Arthur Collins 77 of Newport. Passed away at home on November 4th, 2010. He was a retired Factory Worker in the Autmotive Industry. He was also a Deacon for the Free Community Pentecostal Church in Covington. He is survived by his wife Geneva Collins. Sons Arthur David Collins, Roy Lee Collins, and James D. Collins of Florence. Daughters Mary Alice Fryman, Shirley Ann Sawyers, Janet Sue Noonan, Patsy Jean Collins, and Crystal Gale Robinson. Brothers Henry Collins, Paul Collins, Arthur Collins and Cornell Collins. Sisters Elizabeth Sebastian, Laura Miller, Naomi Roaden, Wanda Sebastian, Linda Hatton, and Jackie Collins. 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday November 8th, 2010 from 4-7 pm. Services will begin at 7pm. Graveside Services will be Tuesday at 10am at the Hughes Chapel Cemetery in Richwood.

Melissa Rae Steffen 34, of Grants Lick. Passed away in Richmond, Ky. She had also attended St. Mary's Church in Alexandria. Survivors are her 2 sons Conner and Carter Gilliam. Her Father Melvin Steffen of Alexandria. Her Mother Cathy and Mike Phirman of Grants Lick. Brother Kevin Steffen, Half Brother Zachary Phirman. Stepbrothers Ryan and Randy Phirman. Half Sisters Amanda Phirman, Allison Steffen. Visitation will be Saturday October 30th, 2010, at St. Mary's Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 9-10am. Garneth Wilmer Johnson 85, of Cold Springs. Passed away September 29th, 2010 at the Newport Baptist Home. He was a Navy Veteran and Served in WWII. He was a Subcontractor for Better Home Products in the Siding Industry. He was a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher for the Valley Chapel Church in Silver Grove. Survivors are his Wife Norma Jean Johnson. Sons Garnett David Johnson and David Keith Johnson. Daughter Luanna Gaye Thompson. Sisters Elizabeth Taylor, Esther Greene, and Alta Johnson. 4 Grandchildren. Memorial Service will be November 6th, 2010 at the Vally Chapel Church, Silver Grove at 10am.

    

Martha "Marty" Carroll

 

Martha "Marty" Carroll 80, of Ft. Thomas. Passed away October 19th, 2010 at St. Elizabeth, Ft. Thomas. She was the prior owner of the Marty's Welcome Inn in Independence, and had also worked at the DAV. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Alexandria Chapter in 1965-1966. She was survived by a son Paul Carroll of Ft. Thomas and Daughter in Law Susan Carroll. Also 2 Grand Daughters Emily Martin and Amy Carroll, and 1 Great Grand Child James Martin. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Highland Heights from 9-11 am Saturday October 23rd, 2010. Services will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetary. Annette Pinter 98, of Ft. Thomas, formely of Dallas TX. Passed away Saturday October 16th, 2010 at the Highland Springs Nursing Home in Ft. Thomas. She was a Nurse in the Dallas School System from 1955-1978. she was a 40 year member of the Skillman Church of Christ in Dallas, and then was a member of the First Christian Church in Ft. Thomas. She was preceeded in death by her husband. Survivors are her daughter Kathryn Knott Thompson (Stan) of Ft. Thomas and a son Jared Knott (Kathryn) of Atlanta, GA. 4 Grandchildren Barbara Thompson, Elizabeth (Taylor) Mcdougal, Mary Kathryn Knott and Elizabeth Annette Knott. 2 Great Grandchirdren, Baily McDougal and Caraline McDougal. Visitation will be Wednesday October 20th, 2010 from 2-2:30 at The First Christian Church in Ft. Thomas. Services will begin at 2:30. Burial will be in Restland Cemetary in Dallas.

Remembering Shelby Jay Gross Sr.

Shelby Jay Gross Sr., 78 of Alexandria passed away Tuesday October 12th 2010 at the VA Hospital, in Cincinnati. He served in the Korean War with the Air Force. He was a driver for the Cincinnati/CVG Airport. He was past Commander of the VFW Alexandria Post. His wife Bernadine Gross preceeded him in death in 2006. He is survived by sons Dennis Gross of Dry Ridge, Arnold Gross of Phoenix, Shelby Gross of Cold Springs, Timothy Gross of Dayton, and Jerome Gross of Alexandria. Daughters Marcia Hoskins of Alexandria, and Debbie Memering of Greendale, IN. 23 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be October 15th, 2010 from 5-8 pm. Services will be held at 10 am Saturday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Ollie Mae Thomas 91, of Highland Heights. Passed away Sunday October 10th, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Ft. Thomas. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1982. Survivors include daughters Clara Mae Druen, Joyce Boden, and Peggy Appel. A son John F. Thomas. 10 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be today from 5-7pm. Services will be held Thursday October 14th, 2010 at 11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
